iOS 8 brings out-of-office configuration without companion app

With iOS 8 and IBM Notes Traveler 9.0.1 you can easily configure your out-of-office without any additional app.

Using iOS, the out of office notification will be enabled by default only for internal recipients. The option to exclude external addresses will be enabled automatically.

Keep in mind with Exchange – Only internal OOF is set by this function, not external

Thanks for this tip! Just tested and it is the same with Notes/Domino. Out of office will be activated, but with the option to prevent external notifications enabled… Ok it is “consistent” to the Exchange behaviour, but for Notes users this is not the default option…

This works with my Exchange Server just fine, but I wish they’d included the option to set messages for outside my organization too.

  3. Barb Skedel says:

So does this mean the out of office reply will not get sent to any external addresses at this time?

I am using ios 8.2 but i am not able to see this option in my IPhone
